About Our Smoky Mountain Antique Store

Passion about preserving pieces from our region’s rich past has been the driving force behind our 35 years in the Antique business. We started Sutton & Sons Antiques four years ago to bring our years of experience, and impressive assortment to collectors, history buffs, and decorators the world over.

The combination of real world collecting and our own family’s rich past in the Smoky Mountains has proven to be tremendously helpful in our endeavor to bring the widest variety of antique furniture, toys, clocks and memorabilia to you.

Larry’s collection of primitive antiques and Cherokee Baskets is by far the most extensive, and eclectic of any we’ve seen. Ryan’s passion includes Rat Rod collectible car parts and porcelain gas station signs, among other things. When you enter our doors, this passion and decades of experience will undoubtedly show.

Not only does our family store in Waynesville come stocked with an extensive selection, we’re able to track down hard-to-find antiques and collectibles

That’s right – it doesn’t have to be in our store. In the end, the store barely scratches the surface!!

We always take orders, and while it may take a little while, you’ll be surprised at what they guys come up with, especially when our family takes our annual collectibles “Super Pick” road trip. We mostly travel to western states like Montana, Wyoming and the Dakotas.

These exciting trips yield some pretty impressive finds – the “Super Pick” is a multi-state search of abandoned farms, barns, and other places off the beaten path. The people you’ll meet on these out-of-the-way places are truly unforgettable. But, the things you’ll find too have their own story to tell, and equally unforgettable.

These antique items include a hot rod lawn mower (you read that right), mammoth teeth, International Time Clocks from the turn of the 20th century, and much more.

Antique rifles are always a favorite…

Our store’s inventory is always changing, with different varieties of North Carolina pottery, and a great collection of Face Jugs, Salt Glaze, Cobalt, Tobacco Spit Glaze, and Albany Strip pottery to name a few.

Hand-stitched quilts and a variety of Fenton Glass collectibles also adorn the shelves of our Waynesville store, or a barn yet to be discovery. Ryan has an especially distinct passion for finding antique Coke & Dr. Pepper machines and memorabilia.

It’s fair to say that Sutton & Son’s Antiques is a true family endeavor, passion and tradition. We’ve all taken intense interest in antiques and collectibles – our various tastes and interests have combined to offer the most extensive selection, and knowledge in the Smoky Mountains.

If you’re looking for a specific item, we may have it in stock. But if we don’t, we’d love to put our decades of experience in antiques and collectibles to work for you

We invite you to stop by our store in the heart of Waynesville at 3156 Dellwood Road, Waynesville – we’re open 7 days a week from 10-5 Monday thru Saturday, and 1-5 on Sunday. Or feel free to gives us a call at (828) 593-9386 or (828) 400-7522.
